By Casualty Actuarial Society · 2026
Study guide: Exam COP
The preliminary requirements of the Casualty Actuarial Society's Course on Professionalism, which every registered candidate completes before the course. The e-modules are presentations on each of the ASOPs, a series of slides with audio, with questions placed throughout that must be answered correctly to proceed; the communication-skills pre-work takes approximately three hours; and several pre-readings help candidates become familiar with and prepare to discuss professionalism topics.
On the syllabus
- Exam COP — the CAS publishes no reading list; a link to all the preliminary requirements is emailed to a candidate after registration
Contents unavailable The e-modules, the communication-skills pre-work and the pre-readings are sent only to candidates registered for a course, so their titles and content could not be read. This page records the CAS's description of the preliminary requirements from its Course on Professionalism page.
